Virginia Woolf was a writer, essayist and British publisher, known as one of the most prominent figures of modernism. Woolf was a member of the Bloomsbury Group and played a significant role in the London literary society during the interwar period. His most famous works include the novels Mrs. Dalloway (1925), At the Lighthouse or Towards the Lighthouse (1927) and Orlando (1928) as well as the book-essay A Room of One’s Own or a room that is his (1929), where is the famous quote “a woman must have money and a whole its roof if she wants to write fiction.” After witnessing the bombing of his house, fearing crazy, Woolf turned out to commit suicide.
