New reports from Runrun.it – Base your decisions on accurate data

Along with the advanced filters that we launched recently, Runrun.it’s new generation of reports offers in-depth and specific insights, by applying a simple filter (see below). Now you can have an x-ray of your account and get only the data you are looking for. Remember that the main input that Runrun.it needs to generate reports are the hours recorded in tasks. Meaning that if teams are not recording their time worked inside of tasks, then generating accurate reports will not be possible.

With the new reports, you can identify where the productivity bottlenecks on your team (and who deliver the tasks better) are, in a more direct way, by selecting only the metrics that can help you make a decision. Meaning that, it can map the costs of the projects and also control a team’s work, increasing the speed of deliveries and respecting deadlines.

It is important to say that the “Teams” and “Clients” reports, which offered a grouped view of the tasks In queue, In Development and Last 5 deliveries, no longer exist. Now this information can be easily accessed in the “General Tasks Control” report, by applying the appropriate filters (by team or client).

capturar

The following reports have been kept:

General Tasks Control

Find out which tasks have been delivered, are in progress, or will be worked on, for a client, project, by the entire company or by a specific user, with 19 different columns: – ID, Priority, Title, Activity, State, Responsible, Team, Type, Client, Project, Status, Created at, Start date, Delivery date, Overdue, Estimated effort, Worked hours, Progress %, Tags, Created by.

Costs

If you have registered an hourly cost per employee, you will know the exact cost of any project.  The Costs report calculates the values of the Budget, Contracted Hours, Budget per Project and all extra costs. From there, it will be possible to:

  1. Understand the actual cost of the project / client;
  2. Estimate whether the budget will go over or not,
  3. Review pricing strategy for the customer.

See an example of the report here.

Spreadsheets

Detailed data in spreadsheets for specific analyzes:

  1. General Status Report, shows all the data of each task;
  2. Timesheet per client, shows time dedicated to each task,
  3. Time by status, shows how much time each task has remained in statuses you set.

Hours per Project

This report provides a simplified view of how many hours each employee has invested in each project (per client), and how much this effort corresponds to their total hours worked.

See an example of the report here.

Gantt

A classic report of traditional project management, it presents the tasks in a timeline by responsible, client, project or team. The new version of Gantt, in addition to bringing usability improvements, also shows the tasks delivered and with no date limitation (for this report, the printing features and export to PDF are not available). It’s the best way for you to see tasks in a calendar view.

See an example of the report here.

Efforts Per Task Type

This report shows the percentage of hours spent per Task Type on each client.

  1. Per client: helps you understand how your assets invest time to service your customers, as the tasks types can indicate the difficulty of the demands. This affects the planning for the hiring of new workers (which foresees the extension / reduction of the contract with the customer) and the revision of prices (when calculating the price to be charged for a new contract). The same report can also provide information on the type of professional you need to hire to meet the new demands.
  2. By team: shows how a team’s work is divided by task type and if everyone is working according to their strategic alignment, In addition to identifying possible bottlenecks.

See an example of the report here.

People Allocation (former Effort per client)

Graphically visualize how people are dividing themselves in each client and its projects.

See an example of the report here.

Available Hours (former Stock of Hours)

Plan out the distribution of the upcoming demands for your company or team, based on the available hours in your employees’ task lists.

What’s new

The newRegistered Hours” report allows you to see, in detail, the hours recorded in Runun.it by each employee in each team they are a member of. This view is broken up by: Hours registered automatically, manually, and in total, similar to how it is in the “Hours Per Project” report. This report helps identify which people are not collaborating with the implementation of Runrun.it inside the company. It also helps understand how the time of each employee is shared amongst various teams to which he could belong.

See an example of the report here.

All reports now have filters that allow users to get only the information desired. Meaning that, depending on what you need to know it will be easier to find the information. The categories that can be filtered are:

  • Customers
  • Project Groups
  • Projects
  • Tags
  • Teams
  • Users
  • Period

Only in the “Costs” report do you need to choose a client. In the others, it is possible to generate data with all of the filter categories.

Another important change regarding the reports is that there is no longer a limit to the time period of which you can receive data – Until now, the maximum time frame was 366 days ( 1 year + 1 day). In addition to this, all of the reports have the option to Print, Download as PDF or send by email.
